Seriously

How about inventing vent switches for short girls. Better yet, if you want to know how short people exercise, get a broom and do this. Get on your knees then take your broom and try to open your vent with the end of the broom. If after 2 minutes you are cussing the broom and sweating, then you are doing the exercise right. Bastards.

Thanks for visiting my blog although I see I didn't make your blogroll. *sigh*

There is this cool invention. Been around for thousands of years you might find useful. What's it called again? Hmmm... Anyone? F*CK brain damage sux.

A step ladder! That's what I was thinking. Available at your local handy dandy store (no, I no longer advertise freely for the orange logo people - they don't pay promptly when I demand Payment. Effers!)

zomg!!! I can soooo relate! I'm only 5 foot so even getting stuff off the top cupboard shelf is a workout! :)

Yes a step ladder is the way to go,its cheaper than a man and you don't have to feed it. Hell you don't even have to say thank you, just toss it back in a closet and forget it.

I agree about the step-ladder, although lately I've been getting quite a workout climbing on my kitchen counters like I used to do when I was a kid. Sometimes even the step-ladder is a pain to get out.

Or you could just live somewhere where the vents are on the floor (no A/C here, just heat). I have no problem moving those suckers!

Heck, I am 5'9" and I still can't reach those things. And they are always STUCK, so you have to ram it with your hand and end up cussing because now your hand hurts too.

I've never seen a vent that high! Ours our on the floor. You should move here, LOL

Thanks for visiting my blog! I enjoyed reading you posts, and completely agree. My house is littered with vents that are too high to reach, thanks to all the vaulted ceilings. For one, I had to buy an extension pole!

Plan to come back here!

Life sucks for short guys too. And then I shrunk an inch. Damnit that really irks me. Next time, just call and you can sit on my shoulders to do stuff like this. You'll still need a broom stick but not as long of one and I get the benefit of having your goods so close to my face. :)

I'm 6'2" so reaching vents has never been a problem. Low ceiling fans are another matter.

There is a short person in this house, and subsequently, a little folding step stool - that I keep stubbing my toes on - left about here and there on each floor. C:)
